  • Individual Education Plans (I.E.P’s) catering to the child’s unique learning profile.
  • Literacy classes using cutting edge evidence-based techniques about reading and reading development.
  • Numeracy classes informed by evidence-based knowledge of how children learn Mathematics.
  • Frequent monitoring of the child’s progress.
  • Cognitive/thinking skills programmes that enhance the child’s ability to understand how he/she thinks and learns, to organise and to approach tasks in effortful and systematic order.  
  • Through well researched cognitive programmes the child is encouraged to develop strategies to learning, to plan and to monitor his/her work and to take responsibility for learning.
  • Through positive behaviour management techniques, children at Pro Ed House School develop into confident and responsible learners. They are assisted in this by focused social learning approaches supervised by psychologists. A psychiatrist is on hand as a consultant as are other behaviour specialists.
  • Parents are considered to be partners in developing happy and confident learners. Coffee Mornings are presented and parent management training courses may be offered. Consultants are on hand who are available to discuss issues with parents.
  • A Movement Coach works with the Foundation Phase in small groups, runs the Physical Education programme for the Intermediate and Senior Phases as well as extra mural activities.
